Every SPA Consulting project is fully customised, starting with a detailed analysis of the client’s specific situation. Depending on needs and interests, clients can choose between two types of consulting services, both designed to ensure tailored solutions and an uncompromising experience.
- Feasibility study
This is the first step in defining the vision for the project. During this phase:- an ideal and desired layout is developed in collaboration with the client;
- space requirements, technical preparations, connections, and estimated energy consumption for the proposed technologies are analyzed;
- a detailed economic estimate is presented.
At the end of this phase, the client can decide whether to proceed directly with project realization or move forward with a more in-depth development phase.
- Technical consultancy
This represents the next step in transforming the idea into a finalized project:- the layout defined in the previous phase (or provided by an external designer chosen by the client) is enriched with all necessary technical details;
- specific energy, water, and structural details are included, with accurate calculations of energy consumption for wellness technologies and maintenance costs;
- if requested, a complete quotation for project execution can be developed, even if the feasibility study was not conducted with us.
The consulting process

Initial phase
The project begins with an in-depth preliminary analysis that considers the building type, end-user profile, and location. This process defines the fundamental parameters for spa design (SP01).

Design phase
Distributive layout proposals
Up to three distributive and functional layout proposals are developed, designed to create unique experiential journeys within the spa spaces (SP02). Particular attention is paid to balancing technology with experience, ensuring a harmonious and customized approach, including energy requirements.
Definition of wellness and air technologies
The necessary wellness technologies and air treatment systems for the center are precisely identified, including details on air exchange rates for different zones (SP03).
Calculation of peak loads
Precise calculations of peak loads for specialized technologies are carried out, considering electrical, thermal, and water parameters (SP04).
Economic investment estimate
A financial estimate for the implementation of the proposed specialized technologies is developed (SP05).
Development of the finalized project
If desired, the second consulting phase focuses on the technical development of the finalized project for specialized technologies involving water, air, and wellness, based on the layout designed in previous phases (SP06).
Technological loads
Comprehensive calculations of total loads for specialized technologies are performed, divided into electrical, thermal, and water categories (SP07).
Investment budget
A detailed budget for specialized technologies is established, including:
• a description of the main technical features;
• a complete cost estimate for project execution (SP08).
Upon request, realistic renderings can be included to provide a preliminary vision of the project. Additionally, technical site inspections can be organized to ensure flawless project design (SP09).
· Post-implementation
At the end of our consulting service, the client has two main options: proceed with project execution by partnering with a third-party company or rely directly on Hofer Group. Our consulting service is entirely independent of any brand or supplier, providing clients with complete freedom of choice.
Regardless of the client’s decision, SPA Consulting can offer additional support opportunities, such as staff training, development of targeted operational strategies, and organizing scheduled maintenance programs to ensure long-term efficiency and quality.
